Jive provides communication and collaboration solutions for businesses, dramatically improving employee engagement, alignment, and productivity. Office 365, on the other hand, is a suite of Microsoft Office Applications plus other productivity services that are enabled over the internet. Both Jive and Office 365 are supported on web and mobile platforms. Since Jive provides an interactive intranet, it cannot be used by freelancers located in remote. Only enterprises, small, medium, and large can successfully implement it as a collaboration platform. Office 365 can be used by both enterprises and freelancers.
When it comes to services and support, Jive provides phone support, online support, knowledge base, and video tutorials. For Office 365, you get only video tutorials. The features of Jive and Office 365 are quite contrasting. Jive supports APIs, gamification, and RSS feeds while Office 365 doesn’t. On the other hand, Office 365 supports video conferencing, offline access, and wiki, that Jive doesn’t supports. In terms of pricing, free trial and freemium accounts are available for Jive while not for Office 365.
