Our flagship product NETServe is an all-in-one secure and productive network server solution. It is an operating system which will act as mail server as well as firewall, proxy, bandwidth manager, VPN, domain controller and virus guard. It combines multiple servers into one hence reduces the cost of deploying, administering and maintaining them separately.
NETServe Enterprise is for unlimited number of users. NETServe is a mail server along with which you can have the benefit of other applications as described below.
Mail Server
NETServe has SMTP/POP3 and IMAP support which provides you the flexibility to download only mail header, hence reducing the time to download the entire mail. Mails which are not of much use can be deleted without downloading. You can control access to your SMTP/POP and IMAP servers locally or from entire world.
Webmail is web based mail browsing facility which allows you to view emails from any computer in LAN and provided a live IP from anywhere in WAN. Support for all mail clients like outlook, outlook express, Eudora, etc.
Scheduled mail retrieval downloads mail and automatically distributes them to user accounts. For each and every user, mail downloading can be configured to leave a copy of message on server. Multiple POP accounts can be configured for each user. Each mail which is being downloaded can be forwarded to multiple local as well as external addresses.
Live monitoring of mails being downloaded. Mail queue handling allows you to view and manage mails when internet is down. At a particular instance of time, 40 users can send email and if needed you can view and delete unnecessary mails in queue. You can specify the maximum download size of email, above which all mails would be kept on mail server. Hence, the delay faced in downloading large emails and retrieving smaller ones is minimum.
Group mailing allows you to send and receive mails for a particular group of users. When mail is received on a group email address it automatically gets delivered to all users of the group. Similarly when mail is sent to the group email address it is sent to all group members.
Mail watch dog can be used to send a copy of each incoming and outgoing mail to a particular account. User wise access rights allow you to specify whether he/she can send mails locally or to the external world or both. Mail aliasing, vacation message and forwarding allow you to manage them efficiently.
Inbuilt spam blocking facility controls spam. Mail filter allows you to block all incoming and outgoing mails based on subject like Viagra, attachment like .doc, from address and to address.
Multiple address books at company level as well as department level can be maintained on server and configured in any LDAP based mail client like outlook and outlook express. You can import address from existing CVS files of outlook and business card reader.
Groupware is a mini web based intranet from where users can view personal mails, build up personal address books, bookmark websites, schedule meetings, write notes, prepare tasks and chat.
Mail logs allow you to check the total number of mails sent and received by each user on daily basis. You can view all the recipient address in best order of mailing list. Detailed mail logs facilitates you to perform a detailed mail system analysis.
Auto backup allows you to schedule backup of mails. Backup to desktop allows you to take an instant backup on your desktop computer. Backups can be verified and restored easily. Backup can be taken on computer, CD or tape.
Virus Guard
Anti-virus scans all the incoming and outgoing mails for local networks as well as the external world. On encounter of virus in an email, notification can be sent to either the administrator or the sender or both. Auto updations of virus definitions take place every 4 hours. No restrictions on the number of users. Inbuilt support for Kaspersky, F-Prot, Bit-Defender, Clamav and F-Secure antivirus.
Proxy Server
NETServe can act as a proxy server and internet gateway. Internet sharing allows you to have internet connection on NETServe which can be used to provide internet to all other client computers. No need of internet connection at different computers. All types of internet connection support like dial-up, cable, DSL, T1, etc.
Virtual domains can be created for local use. Websites can be hosted and published globally. Web caching gives fast and quick response for the web pages requested. Cache size is configurable with the maximum size of the object. You can also specify domains which need not be cached. NETServe has an inbuilt DNS server.
Content Filtering allows you to restrict internet access. Websites can be blocked at the organization level based on domain names, expression and URLs. You can specify users who can have full access to the internet. Inbuilt blacklist blocks all sites related to porn, gambling, hacking, aggressive, drugs and violence. Blacklist is updated regularly.
Time based Internet access can be scheduled for specific client computers. Hot spotting forces users to provide a username and password before browsing any website, hence restricting the internet access. Access logs give you the detailed report of websites browsed in the organization. Reports are generated on daily, weekly and monthly basis. Top 100 websites which are being viewed most often can be known.
For each user/computer you can view the list of websites being browsed along with the time of access and bytes consumed.
Firewall
NETServe can act as a firewall. All attacks on server can be known and differentiated based on protocols. Active firewall automatically takes the necessary actions on the attacks. It provides dynamic stateful packet filtering acting as an intrusion detection as well as prevention system. Updating of firewall rules takes place automatically. Notification is sent to administrator for each action being taken against the attack.
Custom firewall allows you to open, close and forward ports. Blocking of various applications like FTP, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, etc is possible. Inbuilt whois and registry lookup. Intrusion Logs shows you the attacks based on protocol i.e. TCP, UDP and ICMP. Graphs can be generated for attacks on various parameters like time Vs alerts, source ports Vs alerts, etc For each alert you can view the source address, destination address, source port, destination port, time stamp and nature of attack.
System Monitor gives you a graphical display of CPU usage, RAM usage, Hard Disk usage, Network Load, Internet Speed and Packet Loss on minutely, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Bandwidth Management
Bandwidth Management allows you to restrict upload and download bandwidth for each computer. Youcan facilitate managers and heads for fast and quick browsing by assigning more bandwidth.
Virtual Private Network
VPN connects various geographic locations and allows you to have both gateway-to-gateways as well as client-to-gateway connections. With client-to-gateway connection provided a live IP, NETServe can be accessed from anywhere in the world. With gateway-to-gateway connection provided a very high.
bandwidth, computers of two different locations can be made to appear in one single network. This facilitates the administrator to manage the server from anywhere in the world with internet connection. VPN logs helps you to keep a check on each VPN connection being made from external world. You can restrict VPN access on user basis.
Dial-In
Dial-In facility allows a user to dial into the NETServe and be a part of local network. You can configure as many external modems as the number of com ports. Restriction of dial-in can be set on user basis. A user sitting at home or anywhere in the world will dial-in to the server via telephone line and will be able to access the server. This facilitates administrator to administer the server from anywhere in the world even without internet connection.
File/Print Server
NETServe can act as a domain controller like windows server where a client computer can log into and be a part of a workgroup. The server supports roaming profiles.
For each user added on the system a folder is created where he/she keep the data. Users can be grouped and shared folders can be created for the group. Read/Write access be set on each shared folder. Quotas can be set specifying the maximum limit of hard drive space a user can have to store his data and mails.
LDAP server provides a network-available listing of the user accounts and groups on your server, and can be accessed using an LDAP client such as the Address Book feature in Netscape Communicator, Outlook and Outlook Express. Multiple address book support is available. You can control access to your LDAP directory to local users or entire internet.
Printers can be attached to NETServe and made available to all. Hence no need of printer at each computer. Client printers can also be shared via NETServe.
FTP Server
NETServe can act as a FTP server where a user can have his own private folder to keep data. Group folders can also be created. Users can access the group folder as well as private folder via browser or any FTP client like cuteftp, wsftp, etc. User can get and put data from anywhere in the world provided you have a live IP. Hence, clients and roaming users like marketing personal can have quick and faster access to data from anywhere removing the hassle to mail big files and download them.
DHCP Server
NETServe can act as a DHCP server. It can assign IP address to all client computers eliminating the hassle to manually set the IP address of each client computer. You can view the IP and MAC address of live clients on DHCP.
Application/Database Server
NETServe can act as an application server on which you can put applications built in PHP, Perl and CGI. Access rights can be set for the applications being deployed. Inbuilt MySQL data.
